New alpha version of Ubuntu is ready to download for developer and professionals. Gusty Gibbon Trible 5, is the fifth alpha released of Ubuntu 7.10. The new version is include some new features and the final and stable version will be released on October. I advice you to try Ubuntu as your second operation system to feel freedom and stability. If you want to try Ubuntu you can try it Live or use the easy setup feature to make a multiboot machine.
